WATCH: The drivers tackle Istanbul Park’s iconic Turn 8 flat-out in the opening Turkish GP practice session

When F1 fans start talking about Istanbul Park, it usually doesn’t take long before they mention one corner in particular: Turn 8.
The fearsomely fast, multi-apex left-hander is the crown jewel of the Turkish track, which first appeared on the F1 calendar back in 2005.
And while F1 returned to Istanbul in 2020, low grip levels meant that taking the corner flat-out was tricky. But with higher grip awaiting the drivers in Free Practice 1 for the 2021 event, they set about getting stuck into tackling the famous turn.
