WEEKEND WARM-UP: Attention turns to an intense constructors’ fight as F1 arrives in Qatar
Share
Max Verstappen made it four world titles on the bounce at last weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, meaning his main goal for the season is in the bag as he heads into the final two races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
However, there is still plenty to play for at the Lusail International Circuit and Yas Marina Circuit, especially when it comes to the constructors’ championship and intense battles for overall honours and sixth position.
At the top, just 24 points separate leaders McLaren and second-placed Ferrari, with reigning world champions Red Bull trying to hang on, while Haas, Alpine and RB are covered by just four points in a tight midfield pack.
There’s also more talk about Sergio Perez’s future, along with Yuki Tsunoda’s thoughts on what he needs to do to earn a chance at Red Bull moving forward, and how Ferrari debriefed following Charles Leclerc’s frustration last time out.
Hit go on the video player above to join Laura Winter, James Hinchcliffe and Alex Jacques for a review of all these topics and more.
