WEEKEND WARM-UP: Red Bull are the team to catch but McLaren and Ferrari are looking strong ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

The second round of the 2024 F1 season is upon us, with the teams now in Saudi Arabia and ready to get to grips with the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. But who will prove the quickest at this incredibly fast street track? Our Weekend Warm-Up crew are on hand to discuss all.
Max Verstappen starts as favourite following his dominant win last weekend – but he might have his work cut out, as this track does play to his team mate’s strengths. Sergio Perez put in a pretty decent drive in Bahrain, and seems confident heading into this one, especially given he won here last year.
That’s not all that’s being discussed though. McLaren’s drivers both think this track could suit their car, and Lando Norris has a point to prove having made a mistake in qualifying last weekend that cost him a handful of places. Could they challenge Red Bull – or will they be vying with Ferrari for the third step on the rostrum?

Then there is Mercedes to consider, with cooling issues hampering their drivers in Bahrain. George Russell was able to extract plenty from his car in the tricky conditions, but Lewis Hamilton was left lagging behind. Is that a pattern that might continue into this weekend?
Join Laura Winter, Julien Simon-Chautemps and Ariana Bravo as they delve into all of those talking points and more in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Weekend Warm-Up.
