'We're having an incredible relationship' – Why Sainz and Albon are exactly what Williams need in their rebuild
Share
Carbon. Carbono. Carbonara. Thai Sweet Chilli. Whatever you want to call them, you only have to spend a few minutes with Williams’ new driving pairing Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon to see that they are already gelling incredibly well, both on track and off it – and are exactly what the iconic British team need to help their rebuild.
We caught up with them at their launch at Silverstone last week and as you’ll see from the video interview on F1.com below, and F1’s YouTube channel, they bounce off each other well and share so many similarities that makes them give off a brotherly vibe.
TEAM PREVIEW: Can Sainz’s arrival help Williams take the next step on their journey in 2025?
Their boss James Vowles will have anticipated this, given how they’ve always got on with past team mates.
Such a relationship isn’t mandatory for a team’s success – but it certainly speeds up the process when a squad is trying to fight their way back to the front after a long period out of the limelight.
