Kubica completes productive second test with Williams
Share
Robert Kubica enjoyed what Williams have declared as 'another productive day' of running with the team on Tuesday, this time at the Hungaroring.
As with last week’s outing at Silverstone, the Pole was driving a 2014-spec FW36 as he completed the second of two scheduled tests, which are being used by Williams for evaluation purposes as they look to firm up who will drive alongside Lance Stroll in 2018.
Paul Di Resta, who along with Kubica and current driver Felipe Massa is also under consideration for the drive, is due to take over driving duties at the Hungarian circuit on Wednesday.
Kubica, a one-time Grand Prix winner, hasn’t raced in F1 since 2010, having been badly injured in a rally crash immediately prior to the 2011 season.
Di Resta’s last Grand Prix outing came in Hungary in July when, in his official capacity as Williams’ reserve driver, he deputised for Felipe Massa when the Brazilian was taken ill.
