First look: Williams, Haas and Renault 2020 cars hit the track in Spain
The 2020 Williams F1 car was only revealed on Monday morning but the team wasted no time in getting the FW43 out on track as George Russell got behind the wheel at Circuit de Catalunya for a shakedown shortly after the online unveiling. But the Grove squad weren’t alone at the track…
Haas and Renault also made their 2020 track debuts in Barcelona on the same morning, with Esteban Ocon hitting the tarmac first for Renault team after they teased their testing livery last week in Paris, without the actual car present, as all three teams tried out their cars as part of their filming day, when each squad is limited to 100km of running.

Haas revealed their 2020 livery earlier this month as they returned to their traditional colour scheme of grey, red and black. But today we got our first view of the VF-20 on track when Romain Grosjean took it out for a shakedown run at the home of the Spanish Grand Prix.
For Williams, Russell took the wheel ahead of new team mate Nicholas Latifi, just two days before of pre-season testing begins. It was a far cry from 2019, when Williams missed their filming day and the first two days of testing with a late arrival.
Far from a slow news day in F1 then, as the three teams rolled out their challengers hours before Racing Point’s 2020 season launch took place.

Adding to that excitement, the trailer for Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 2 dropped on Monday morning. The wait for the Australian Grand Prix in March just got a whole lot shorter.
