After two long years away, Formula 1 is back at the Circuit of The Americas this week for the United States Grand Prix, and the drivers got their first taste of the track on Friday in the first free practice session.
Mercedes have taken five wins in the last six races at this circuit, and they came flying out of the blocks again this weekend, with Valtteri Bottas quickest in FP1 ahead of team mate Lewis Hamilton, and nearly a full second quicker than Red Bull's Max Verstappen in third.
