WATCH: Cars head out on track for the first time at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit

After a jam-packed build-up, the track action at the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend has officially kicked off, with the drivers taking to the new circuit for the first time.
On Thursday evening the grid were finally able to experience the 6.201km Las Vegas Strip Circuit, which will host its inaugural race on Saturday night.

While Free Practice 1 was brought to an early end after the red flags were thrown following a stoppage for Carlos Sainz, the early moments of the session saw the drivers put in their first laps of the track, with Charles Leclerc going fastest with a time of 1m 40.909s.
