Alpine may be a relatively new name to Formula 1, but Renault’s famous sportscar arm has plenty of motorsport heritage. The 2021 rebrand of the team marked the next step in Renault’s F1 revival, begun in 2016 with the takeover of the then-Lotus squad. Already race winners in their new guise, regular podiums and a tilt at the title must be their next target…
2025
Flavio Briatore takes the helm following Oli Oakes mid-season departure but cannot prevent a slump to last in the standings, despite some heroic drives from Pierre Gasly, who scores all of the team’s 22 points. Announce move to Mercedes power for 2026.
2024
Another season of change sees F1 veteran Flavio Briatore join in advisory role and Oli Oakes replace Bruno Famin as Team Principal. Poor form slowly improves and surprise double podium for Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly in Brazil lifts squad to an unexpected P6 in the final standings.
