Today marks National STEM Day, celebrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics education – all subjects that are crucial to the world of Formula 1 and across the globe.
The F1 Engineering Scholarship Programme is a vitally important project in this area. Launched in 2021, following a generous donation from former Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey, the scholarship aims to increase career opportunities for students from underrepresented groups.
From helping to develop rear wings on the race cars, to feeling part of a supportive network, these can often be opportunities of a lifetime for those involved.
