To the delight of the Dutch fans, Max Verstappen aced his start from pole position at Zandvoort, the Red Bull man covering the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc to lead into Turn 1.
Behind, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton duelled with one another, making the lightest of touches as Sainz just managed to hold onto P3 ahead of the Mercedes driver.
