Daniel Ricciardo returned to action for Red Bull ahead of this weekend’s Australian Grand Prix, but rather than completing a few laps around an F1 circuit, he experienced a very different outing…

While he won’t be racing at his home event this year, Ricciardo made the most of his new third driver role with an off-track road trip across Australia aboard Red Bull’s double title-winning RB7, experiencing a host of conditions from beaches to the outback.

Pit stops included visits to a cattle station, the outback city of Broken Hill, the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge and one of Australia’s most famous circuits, Mount Panorama – all combining for a dream homecoming trip.

To help Ricciardo along the way, Red Bull also called on some local racing experts in Supercars champion Shane Van Gisbergen, enduro motorsports legends Toby Price and Daniel Sanders, and aerobatic pilot Matt Hall.
