He backed up McLaren's one-two at Monza and now Lando Norris is right at the front for the Russian Grand Prix, having taken a stunning maiden pole position in qualifying at Sochi on Saturday.
After heavy downpours washed away any chances of final practice taking place for the Russian Grand Prix, the clouds retreated and qualifying did indeed start as scheduled. But in slippery conditions, mistakes were in abundance – the likes of Antonio Giovinazzi and Lewis Hamilton spinning on the treacherous track.

Norris, however, kept it together, and with a calculated switch to slick tyres in Q3, he swept to the top of the charts for a first-ever F1 pole position ahead of Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Williams' George Russell.
