Lando Norris was the man to beat at the Australian Grand Prix – but a brand new feature on F1 TV shows just how close Oscar Piastri got to his team mate during their Qualifying battle for pole position.
Using the new ‘Ghost Car’ tool, fans can get a direct comparison between two drivers, with a simulation of the other car shown in the onboard footage from one driver’s car.
And with Norris beating Piastri by only 0.084s to the P1 slot during Saturday’s Qualifying in Melbourne, the footage highlights where the Briton was able to gain an advantage over his fellow McLaren driver.
